The techie world loves to kick off the New Year with new gadgets, and while we still struggle with the alarm clock on our iphone, the gizmos these techies create are worth a ponder:

The BlackBerry Playbook: The retort for the iPad. Considered the world’s first “professional tablet.” Not only ultra thin and weighing in at less than a pound, but it has both a three and five mega pixel camera lens, video conferencing, wifi connectivity, among many other perks in hopes to create an edge in the ‘networking’ of the present day business world.

The Nissan Leaf: Yes, we consider a car a gadget, especially this one, which is entirely electric yet still can hit speeds upwards of 90 MPH. Nissan knows techies will be in the hunt for this car and have therefore decked it out with a blue tooth system, ipod charging interface and satellite radio.

Sony 3D TV: It all started with Avatar. Now the craze for 3D technology has reached your home theater. Sony is promising to incorporate 3D technology into all of their new products so you will have the option to watch your favorite shows with “3D characteristics.”
